WOMEN VOTERS URGED
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

TV and radio host Korina Sanchez yesterday appealed to the Filipino women to choose their leaders from the heart and to get to know their candidates well.

She said she believes that they have the heart for this country and that whoever the future leaders will be in 2010 and beyond, will be determined by the women’s vote because the ratio of women against men is about 2:1.

Sanchez was guest speaker at the Provincial Council for Women mid-year assembly in Bacolod yesterday.

Women should believe in their integrity especially that in 2010 there is hopefully going to be successful computerized elections, she said.

Sanchez reminded the women not to sell their votes. If they sell their votes for one or two days worth of food on the table, they are actually selling out six years of this country’s future, she said.

Meanwhile, Sanchez said her wedding to Sen. Mar Roxas may be in the last quarter of the year depending on what happens.

She said she is on an indefinite leave but according to ABS CBN they are willing to take her back with open arms if and when the situation calls for her to return.*CGS
