BY CARLA GOMEZ
Several officials of the Commission on Elections in Western Visayas may seek the relief of Dennis Ausan as its regional director, Jessie Suarez, provincial election supervisor, said yesterday.
Suarez said they want Ausan relieved as many of the COMELEC personnel are demoralized by the sudden relief of Mavil Majarucon as Bacolod COMELEC head without due process.
On Friday, Majarucon assumed her post as acting election officer of Bago City in compliance with a memorandum from the COMELEC’s personnel department, pending results of an appeal she filed, Suarez said.
