Eight teams are eyeing the title when the Bacolod City Police Office “Inter-Color Basketball Tournament” blasts off today at the City Heights Subdivision gymnasium in Bacolod City.

BCPO spokesperson PO1 Jared Esquilla said Organic policemen from BCPO headquarters group themselves under Team 1 while City Mobile Group will be the Team 2 and the Traffic Management group banners Team 3.

Grouped under Team 4 are Police Stations 1, 2 and 3, led by Senior Insp. Luisito Acebuche, Chief Insp. Leonardo Borromeo and Insp. Jeffrey Attunaga.

Police Stations 4 and 5 joined forces for Team 5, while Team 6 will be composed by Police Stations 6 and 7 led by Senior Insp. Ulysses Ortiz.

Team 7 will be composed by Police Stations 8 and 9, and Police Station 10 as Team 8 with its station commander Senior Insp. Adonis Rosales playing point guard.

Among the eight teams, Esquilla believes that Team 8 of Police Station 10 is the group to beat.

The games, aimed at fostering camaraderie and to develop team work, are scheduled every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at the City Heights Gym from 2 to 6 p.m.*APN
