Robbers looted a gun store at Rizal Street, Bacolod City, yesterday and took sixteen demo high-powered and low-powered firearms.

Charmaigne Gay Apale, 27, officer-in-charge of Shooter’s Guns and Ammunition Corporation, told the police that they had closed their establishment at about 5:30 p.m. on October 31 and discovered the theft at about 7:30 a.m. when they opened their establishment.

Apale said the suspects took a .45 caliber commodore pistol (DFSC451010), .45 caliber SAM pistol (DFGI14511010), .45 caliber SAM Elite pistol (DFE451010), .45 caliber SAM Military pistol (DFM451010) and .45 caliber Phoenix HP 25 pistol (4095316) with one magazine.

She also said that, aside from the .45 caliber pistols, the suspects also took a 9-mm SAM Trooper pistol (DFT91010), 9-mm Norinco 201c psitol (491000983), 9-mm Norinco NTO pistol (B50308737), 9-mm Norinco NP18 psitol (07505100), 9-mm FEG P9RK pistol (K17906) with magazine, 9-mm Taurus PT92 pistol (TQF84257) with magazine and a 9-mm X-9 pistol.

Also stolen were a 45.6 caliber Norinco A1 1911 pistol (609509), .38 caliber B Sam Protector revolver (DFR0381010), and a 12-guage SAS shotgun, she added.

After further inventory, Apale said they discovered that P29,357 in cash, P35,413 worth of ammunitions, P44,680 worth of spareparts and a 9-mm pistol (Y909090252) and 50 rounds of ammunitions owned by Jayson Abata of Brgy. 3, had also been stolen.

Senior Police Officer 1 Oscar Exaltado of the City Police’s Investigation and Detective Management Section Crime against Property desk said the suspects were able to enter the gun store by destroying the two padlocks on the roll-up door.

Exaltado also said there were two security guards in the building where the gunstore is located but they failed to notice the suspects. The IDMS-CAPRO has lifted finger prints from the area and will investigate the guards and all the personnel.

He added that they do not have the identity of the suspects yet since they do not have witnesses.*APN
