The Department of Public Works and Highways has announced that the concreting of the port road in Dumaguete City is now complete.

The port road stretching from the Philippine National Bank up to the Dumaguete pier is now open for public use, Edna Ravelo, chief of the Planning and Design Division of the DPWH, said.

This concreting project is in line with the improvement and modernization of the Dumaguete Port which is soon to open, she added.

Ravelo also disclosed that the port road concreting work is part of the Dumaguete North Road project worth P50 million, including the road work in Bais City starting from the Bais City-Manjuyod boundary down to the Bais bridge.

She said the road work in Bais is targeted to be finished within this year.*RG
