Robbers took 23 cellular phones and other electronic gadgets from a cellular phone shop at Luzuriaga Street, Bacolod City on All Souls Day, police said yesterday.
Daniel Viscaya, 53, and company driver of Equal Marketing reported to the police that they discovered the theft at about 1:30 a.m.
Viscaya said the suspects took a Nokia 8310 cellular phone, a Nokia 5070 cellular phone, Nokia 6070 cellular phone, Nokia 6610i cellular phone, Nokia 6610 cellular phone, Nokia 6101 cellular phone, Nokia 6103 cellular phone, two Nokia 3220 cellular phone, Nokia 82i cellular phone, Nokia 1100 cellular phone, Nokia 1112 cellular phone, Nokia 1110i cellular phone, Nokia 6300 cellular phone and Nokia 8250 cellular phone.
Viscaya said they also took a Samsung 777 cellular phone, G388 cellular phone, 7500 cellular phone, a Z658 cellular phone, two MP3 players, a cellular card, and a memory card.
Police Officer 3 Aries Escarda said their investigation showed that the suspects forced open the roll-up door of the cellular shop and broke the glass display case to take the items.
Escarda said they already have witnesses who have identified the suspects in the robbery.
Meanwhile, City Police officer-in-charge Senior Supt. Celestino Guara said that the Police Regional Office-6 has issued a verbal instruction to investigate further the robbery at Shooters Guns and Ammunition Corporation at Rizal Street in Bacolod.
Charmaigne Gay Apale, 27, its officer-in-charge, told the police on Monday that the suspects stole about 16 low-powered and high-powered demo guns from their store.
Guara said that they are looking into the possibility of an inside job since there was no sign of forcible entry seen.*APN
