‘Crazy' man dies
BY CARLA GOMEZ

The apparently mentally unstable man who climbed the 9-foot Central Negros Electric Cooperative 10 MVA Burgos transformer in Barangay Estefania Wednesday night triggering power outages in Bacolod City and northern Negros Occidental, died early yesterday morning, CENECO president Edward Gasambelo said.

The man was electrocuted and rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital but escaped by jumping over a wall and was later discovered near a creek in Barangay 9, Bacolod .

He was then brought back to the hospital.

The man suffered third degree burns on 34 percent of his body and died from renal failure and sepsis, DYEZ Aksyon Radyo quoted Dr. Al Frederick Genterola as saying.

While the man claimed he was Lyndon Bustamante, hospital staff were not sure if that was his name as sometimes he also said he was Superman.*CPG
