The Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. will donate two double-classroom schoolbuildings to the municipality of Dauin , Negros Oriental.
Recipients will be Casili High School and Dauin Science High School. Construction started this week and will be completed in 25 days.
Mayor Rodrigo Alanano said the municipality will provide 50 bamboo poles as scaffoldings, 45 cubic meters of sand and 30 cubic meters of gravel.
Rep. Henry Pryde Teves (Neg.Or., 3rd District) recommended that Dauin be the recipient of the schoolbuildings program.
Alanano said the municipality will be allocating an amount for the electrical connection, since it is not part of the project of FCCCI.
The town needs additional classrooms in order to accommodate more students, he added.
Jack Raymund of FCCCI also recommended to their Manila office for three more schoolbuildings for Dauin.
Additional buildings are also eyed at Malungcay Daco High School, Tugawe Elementary School and Bulak Elementary School, the mayor said.*MA
