Ten candidates had filed their Certificates of Candidacy in Negros Occidental as of yesterday, Provincial Election Supervisor Jessie Suares said.

At the Provincial COMELEC office in Bacolod City , Kabankalan Councilor Ted Romulo del Rio yesterday filed his COC for board member of the sixth congressional district, Suares said.

In Cauayan, Jason Jaropillo Villaflor filed his COC for mayor, while Francisco Marquino filed his COC for vice mayor of La Carlota City.

Among those who filed their COCs for councilor are Desiderio Gamarcha Hisona for Cauayan, Godofredo Alcantara for La Carlota City, Moises Ledesma for Bago City, and Roger Apellido and Antonio Espartero for Don Salvador Benedicto.

On Friday, Mayor Magdaleno Peña filed his COC for reelection in Pulupandan and Stephanie Rhyli Ly filed her COC for vice mayor of Murcia .

As of yesterday no one had filed a COC before the Bacolod COMELEC, City Election Officer Ryan Castro said.

The filing of COCs will end on midnight of Dec. 1.*CPG
