Victorias Mayor Severo Palanca, who is wheelchair bound, and Candoni Mayor Cicero Borromeo, who suffered from a stroke in May, yesterday filed their Certificates of Candidacy for re-election in the May 2010 polls, Provincial Election Officer Jessie Suares said.

Two candidates also filed their COCs for vice mayor of Victorias – incumbent Francis Frederick Palanca and Joel Garganera.

Victorias candidates for councilor who filed their COCs are Mark Palanca, Vincent Marie Roa, Audie Malaga, Jerry Jover, Dexter Senido, Daniel Tornea, Joseph Andrei Garcia, and Plandino Galinato.

Others running for vice mayor who filed their COCs are Johram Alama for Bacolod and Maria Gina Lizares for Sipalay City .

Candidates for councilor who also filed their COCs are Wilma Ferrer – Sipalay City , Jose Maria Valmayor – Calatrava, Teresita Gabrido, Walter Uychocde and Ramonito Barcoma – Hinigaran, Roberto Basubas – Valladolid , Wesley Espinosa and Eddie Moreno – Pulupandan, and Arthur Abaja Sr. – Kabankalan City .

IN KABANKALAN

Meanwhile, Gov. Isidro Zayco who is filing his COC for mayor of Kabankalan City Saturday, said Board Member Adolfo Mangao Sr. will be running in his slate as councilor.

His vice mayor will be incumbent Delia Anacan, while the rest of candidates for councilor on his slate are Ricardo Regalia, Joan Cagape, Jose Dumaguete, Rodrigo Cadigal, Anecito Villaluz, Raul Rivera, Jose Severino Nacional Jr., Jeorge Largado and Jeffrey Rebola, Zayco said.*CPG
