Romulo Ramos of St. Joseph High School Alumni and Negros Occidental High School Alumni bet Ann Dayot captured the master bowler title in their respective divisions of the 4 th Sharp organized Inter-School Alumni Bowling Tournament at the New Top's Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City .

The most improved player of Mulo Aircon Services/ASSFBI playing for his school (SJHS Team 2), Ramos led in the elimination phase of the tournament's top 10 bowlers with 336 pinfalls, thereby, clinching the twice-to-beat incentive.

For the master's plum, he won over fellow alumni Dan Corcelles of SJHS Team I, 117-107.

In claiming the right to challenge Ramos, seeded No.4 Corcelles, defeated No.3 Domingo Lacson National High School starter Rey Gargar in the quarterfinal, and followed it up with another victory over Rey “Spitfire” Balaan, of University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos in the semi-final.

Dayot of NOHS Class '82 grabbed the twice-to-beat opportunity in the women's side after topping her division, and won over Lars del Castillo, of La Consolacion College in the final showdown, 109-101.

Del Castillo outpointed Bacolod City National High School regular Sylvia del Rosario to earn the right to face the top seed.

The other members of the Top 10 club who failed to make it to the magic four were Hernand Garciniego (NOHS), Art Palo (SJHS), Cecil Silverio (UP), Raymund Gargar (CSA-B), Roming Dellomes (SJHS), and Edgar Alagaban (SJHS) in the men's category.

Meanwhile, Hurricane/ASSFBI emerged as champion in the Sharp Open Trio Fun Bowl outclassing Triple-C ASSFBI in the finals, 342-324.

Hurricane's Nonoy Ayagan did the most damage to the losing team with a game-high 143 pinfalls.

The other members of the winning squad were Nereo Regollo, Cesay Sumaylo and Orly Guiljon.

Pat Mendoza, Boy “Tisoy” Villanueva and Steve Ramos represented Triple-C.

Bago City Bowlers Association composed of Rene Bustamante, Joe Ermeo and Gap Penafiel settled for second runner-up after absorbing defeat from Triple-C.*HLG
