Triple-C Electrons stole the show in the curtain raiser of the 2nd Mayor's Cup Open Trio Invitational Bowling Tournament at the Plaza Arcade Bowling Alley in Bago City , Negros Occidental that, is part of the city's celebration of the Al Cinco de Noviembre Fiesta on Nov.3.

The group composed of Pat Mendoza, Steve Ramos, Rey Bello and Boy Tisoy Villanueva had a total score of 973 pinfalls, while the Team BACBA I represented by Jesus “Tito” Dato-on, Rey Abellar and Joel Basiao collected 963 balls.

NPBC/MJS/LJP/RJ Pinsmashers managed by Steve Po is third with 933 followed by Cecil Silverio's Silverado ASSFBI with 929.

Rounding out the 11 teams are EJ Davies, 927; Amor ASSFBI, 925; Sharp, 921; Mulo Aircon Services, 911; BACBA II, 909; BACBA III, 893, and Hurricane/ASSFBI, 892.

At stake is P10,000 cash and a trophy for the champion, and P6,000 and P4,000 each for the first and second runners-up.

The final showdown of the top three squads is scheduled on Nov.3.

Action will resume on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Meanwhile, Sharp Phils. will host the two-day Pre-Masskara Open Trio starting tomorrow at the New Top's Millennium Plaza Alley in Bacolod City .
