The United Negros Alliance is expected to make a major announcement on its 2010 line-up at the Natures Village Resort in Talisay City Saturday morning.

City and town officials have been invited to the event.

Sagay Mayor Alfredo Marañon Jr. is expected to be the gubernatorial bet of the alliance.

It is not known if the name of his running mate will be announced Saturday, but rumors are that Rep. Genaro Alvarez (Neg. Occ., 6 th District) has been chosen.

Other possible running mates of Marañon earlier mentioned were Vice Gov. Emilio Yulo III, who said he prefers to run for board member of the fifth district, Manapla Mayor Manuel Escalante, and San Carlos Mayor Eugenio Jose Lacson.

Meanwhile, there is talk that Sugar Regulatory Administrator Rafael Coscolluela and Rep. Jose Carlos Lacson (Neg. Occ., 3 rd District) are also likely gubernatorial opponents of Marañon in 2010.*CPG
