Child still needs help
for swollen right eye
BY LISA GATAC

Four-year-old Janelle Torres, of Bakyas, Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City , needs to undergo cobalt therapy/chemotherapy on her swollen right eye, and her mother Estenel Duremdes, 40, jobless, is seeking help to be able to afford the procedure.

Her parents had earlier sought help from DAILY STAR readers for the head CT scan, and it was shouldered by the Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital in Bacolod City .

The CT scan revealed “a prosthetic right eyeball which is displaced anteriority by lobulated, enhancing soft tissue density masses within the orbit and an impression of tumor recurrence is considered”.

The medical abstract showed that Janelle was noted to have whitish discoloration on her right eye and was diagnosed with retinoblastoma when brought to a private physician.

Any assistance for Janelle may be given through the DAILY STAR office.*LTG
