SP okays P40M additional budget

The Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan yesterday approved a P40 million supplementary budget for the provincial government, and P300,000 in aid to the recent typhoon victims in Luzon,  Acting Gov. Emilio Yulo IIII said yesterday.

Yulo said the P300,000 in provincial government assistance will be given to the Department of Social Welfare and Development for disposition.

Meanwhile, he said the approved P40 million 2009 Supplemental Budget No. 5 is from the Internal Revenue Allotment differential received by the provincial government.

Of the P40 million fund, P20,447,900 has been allocated to grants and donations, P12 million to the peace and order fund, P3.5 million for monetization of leave credits, P1 million for donations by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office;

Maintenance and operating expenses of the Regional Trial Courts – P350,000, training expenses – P20,000, traveling expenses – P300,000, repair and maintenance of government vehicles – P300,000, taxes, duties  and licenses for the provincial jail – P70,000;

Other jail expenses – P100,000, terminal leave benefits – P300,000, codification of provincial ordinances – P500,000, other expenses for the governor’s office – P500,000 and  canopy for lagoon – P612,000, Yulo said.*CPG
