Cadiz City once again asserted its dominance in badminton, bagging eight championship titles in the 2009 MassKara Badminton Invitational at the Pohang Badminton Center in Bacolod City .

Mentored by Jordan Sun, the Cadiznons were undefeated in 16-Under boys doubles, 12-Under boys and girls' doubles, 14-Under boys and girls doubles, 12-Under mixed, Men's C category, and Women's B bracket.

Aljons Aloyan and Christian Pavia won the title in 16-Under boys for the Cadiz City team while Christian Crisostomo and Tucky Embarguez of Trinity Christian School/St. Joseph School-La Salle settled for first runner-up.

Brother Keir and Kenneth Longno gave Cadiz its second championship trophy by topping the 12-Under boys doubles while Christian Genoguin of TCS and Kidapawan City 's Patrick Gecosala finished second.

In 14-Under girls doubles, Cadiznons Desa Mae Arino and Dianne outranked Talisay City 's Yvette Isidro and Amica Duay for the title while Joy Pantoja and Stephanie Tiad gave Cadiz another title from the 12-Under girls doubles, relegating to second place Himamaylan's Jann Lauron and Thyra Gutierrez.

Robert Aloyan and Louie John Medina of champion team Cadiz outmaneuvered Talisay's Mike Minuluan and Cede Jan Duay for the top slot in 14-Under boys doubles as the tandem of Joy Pantoja and Kier Longno grabbed the championship in 12-Under mixed.

Team Cadiz also reigned in Men's C doubles as Allen Palmares and Louie John Medina captured the title as Silay City 's Bernard Sua and Jess Arsenal landed in second place.

Capping the eight-title run of Cadiz City was the tandem of Mary Joy Fernandez and Dessa Arino who plucked the crown in Women's B doubles. First runner-up was the pair of Jennen Llema and Hillary Baje of Riverside College .

Other winners were: Riverside College's John Paul Jayona and Cris Gicaro (mixed doubles level B), TCS/Convergys Karina Parreño and Babet Divinagracia (mixed doubles level C), LSC-Sagay City Shadjid Bagatsing and Tei Wecamorah (mixed double level D);

Pohang's Alex Borromeo and Rosalie Soberano (mixed doubles), SJI's Bea Araneta and Ellana Tan (10-Under girls doubles), Talisay's Vladymere Biñas and Randyl Britaña (10-Under boys),
