Carnival manager
files raps vs. cops
BY ADRIAN NEMES III

The manager of a carnival lodged a complaint against a member of the Bacolod Police Sunday for alleged coercion, police reports said yesterday.

Florencio Guzman, 30, of Tigbauan town, Iloilo complained that police officer Ramon Senoro, took P1,500 from their Triple M carnival at the Bacolod reclamation area.

In his blotter complaint, Guzman said he was about to collect the money from the booth of one of their rides when the policeman came and grabbed it from their teller.

When he asked Senoro to give the money back, the policeman allegedly told him to go with him.

On Tuesday, another employee, who requested anonymity, also claimed that Senoro asked for P500 for the snacks of his fellow policemen.

City Police Officer in charge, Senior Supt. Celestino Guara, said he has not received a copy yet of the complaint.

Guara, however, said he is encouraging Guzman to pursue the charges so Senoro can defend himself in a proper forum. He added that he will not tolerate this kind of acts from his policemen.

DAILY STAR tried to reach Senoro for his side but he was not available up to press time last night.*APN
