A memorable debut

The 18 th birthday celebration of Paula Parcon was held at the Bacolod Pavillion recently. The place was decorated with lovely and colorful flowers and bright balloons in all colors, to welcome her into adulthood. The theme of the celebration was Victoria 's Secret where a makeshift runway was made.

Ten of her classmates modeled high fashion gowns, the opening prayer was led by cousin Pangga Reyes, and the welcome and opening remarks were given by Nina Lopez. Mom Lina Lim and Toto Gerry escorted and introduced the debutante. This was followed by a sumptuous dinner.

During dessert time, a video presentation was shown of her infancy, the different places she enjoyed with her family during holidays here and abroad, the last in Los Angeles and New York , which Mom Lina gifted her with after high school graduation.

The 18-candle ceremony followed, with classmates from UNO-R High School giving their best wishes to the celebrator, then another 18 friends of the debutante shared their treasures, including sister Marlin Lim Lopez.

Then the misty-eyed debutante thanked all the Manaloto and Lim siblings for their support, especially her Mom Lina Lim and late Dad Mariano Lim. She also acknowledged everybody who attended her 18 th birthday party.

As a sign of gratitude, Paula gave her mom a long stemmed red rose, cousin Nicole Ynayan belted two song numbers, followed by her USLS nursing classmates, and dancing…

To Paula, aim high and finish your nursing course.
