Vet’s team seizes
more hot meat

About 37.50 kilograms of pork hot meat were seized by elements of the Task Force Botagoy led by Baoclod City Veterinarian Dr. Adelo Daroy from the vehicle of Benny Benitez at about 9:10 a.m. yesterday at the Vista Alegre-Granada road in Bacolod City.

The seized meat was endorsed to Police Precinct 5 in Brgy. Granada by Daroy, Agricultural technologist and meat Inspector designate Rex Juplo, SPO1 Willie Perez, PO2 Sergio Sisles, PO1 Julius Dacles and Jet Homero  Pirote, all members of the Task Force.

Daroy said the hot meat was loaded on a light blue colored multicab driven by Benitez of Purok 7, Barangay Granada, which was under surveillance and monitoring by the Task Force.

The vehicle was intercepted by the Task Force before the bridge from Abada Escay Vista Alegre Granada road, Bacolod City, he said.  

Daroy said the items did not bear the appropriate meat brands and the owner failed to present a Meat Inspection Certificate from the City Slaughterhouse.

It was confiscated for violation of City Ordinance 459, Series of 2008, and later denatured and buried under the supervision of the Task Force, he said.*CGS
