Computer school teacher killed
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

The National Bureau of Investigation is being asked to investigate the death of a part-time teacher of a Bacolod computer school, whose body was dumped Friday night in Brgy. Zone 10, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

The victim identified as Lorena Ablang, 36, had injuries at the back of her head believed to have caused her death, initial investigations of the Talisay City Police Station showed.

Supt. Joseph Thomas Martir, Talisay police chief, said they cannot ascertain yet if Ablang was a victim of robbery-hold-up, or was just simply killed by somebody.

Martir said Ablang had been seen on her way home to Carmela Subdivision in Talisay City, on board a white tricycle, with a person who was back-riding with the driver.

Police said witnesses heard a loud impact and saw a tricycle speeding away, leaving behind the body on the road in Brgy. Zone 10 in Talisay.

The woman was also identified as the daughter of former ABS-CBN Bacolod manager Jun Lapu-os. She was rushed to the Talisay City Health Office and later to a hospital in Bacolod City, where she died.

Lapu-os said he has asked the NBI to conduct a separate investigation of the incident, to unmask the identities of those behind the death of his daughter.

He said the bag of his daughter was missing.

Lapu-os added that there was no other injury in other parts of her body, except the one in the back of her head.

Martir said they are exerting their best effort to track down the white tricycle, its driver and his companion.

Aside from being a part-time teacher of the IMPACT computer school, Lorena was also employed as their marketing officer.*GPB
