The City of Talisay marks its 10th Minuluan Festival with a two-day job recruitment included in the five-day celebration that started Sept. 7, a press release from the city said.
The job fair that will open at 8 a.m. is scheduled tomorrow and Saturday at the Talisay City Public Plaza Covered Court.
Dubbed “Obra Para Sa Masa,” it is one of the programs of the Talisay City government to help constituents find job here and abroad.
Mayor Eric Saratan said regularly holding job fairs will ease the unemployment problem that other local government units are also facing, the press release said.
Talisay City PESO manager, Gilbert Robles, said in the press release that 15 overseas and 10 local agencies are participating in the event.
Interested applicants are advised to bring their comprehensive résumés and 2x2 I.D. pictures. Inquiries will be entertained at the Talisay City PESO or through Tel. No. 495-5401, the press release said.
Officials from the city, the Department of Labor and Employment, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration will attend the fair opening, it added.*
