Convergys Philippines is a story of tremendous growth and great success both for its employees and its clients as it celebrates its sixth anniversary.
The company, the global leader in relationship management, would be closing-in on an employee population of more than 17,000 today since opening its first contact center in Manila in 2003, a press release from the firm said.
It has won widespread recognition across the country, most recently receiving the Outstanding Exporter and Outstanding Employer awards at the 2009 PEZA Investors’ Appreciation Day, as well as the “BPO Employer of the Year” at the 2009 International ICT Awards, the press release said.
These recognitions add to Convergys’ long list of awards received over the course of six years in the Philippines, further distinguishing the company as the employer of choice in the country. Additionally, Convergys has experienced steady growth in the country, occupying 12 contact center facilities in the Philippines - seven located throughout metro Manila, three in Cebu City, one in Bacolod City, and one in Santa Rosa Laguna.
Marife Zamora, Convergys Vice President and Country Manager, and her leadership team, recently celebrated the company’s sixth anniversary in the Philippines by blowing out candles on six delicious birthday cakes.
“It is amazing to see how far we have come in our Philippines operations since we opened our first facility six short years ago,” Zamora said in the press release.
Convergys’ state-of-the-art facilities employ more than 17,000 men and women, providing support via telephone, web-chat, and email for a diverse portfolio of blue chip clients and their customers worldwide.
