Young runners from Bago City made their mark in the Dumaguete leg of the 33rd National Milo Marathon on Sept. 6 by registering impressive finishes.
Jonel Teberio topped the boys’ 3-K division while Louielyn Pamatian and Mylen Catigan were the fastest runners in girls; 3-K and women’s 5-K categories.
Also posting notable performances during the run were Bagoeños Kirby Gula, Christine Joy Melos, Jun Montalbo and Jeffy Acuña.
Gula finished fourth in boys’ 3-K while Melos landed in fifth place of girls’ 3-K. Montalbo was third place in boys’ 5-K while Acuña was a runner-up in the main event 21-K run.
Sharing the recognition with the runners are team coaches Charlie Relova and Eriberto Diaz, and trainers Johnny Plomeda and Joel Teberio.*NAB
