Escalante celebrates
tourism month

Escalante City headed by Mayor Melecio Yap Jr. is celebrating Tourism Month with a tourism quiz bee for the primary and intermediate category and an on-the-spot painting contest for the elementary level, an Escalante City press release said.

The quiz bee for the high school and college category, and on-the-spot painting and essay writing contests for the high school level will be held tomorrow.

Winners of competitions held earlier are Jasper Aguirre from the Escalante Central Elementary School for the primary quiz bee, Beth Pontevedra from Buenavista Elementary School for the intermediate category quiz bee, and Jenelia Villarmia from Mabini Central Elementary School for the on-the-spot painting contest.

The City Tourism Office is headed by Kenneth  Benignos, the press release said.*
