Pulupandan town, Negros Occidental, received P12,000 from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office during its 75th anniversary celebration, for a medical, dental and feeding mission, Wilfredo Garcia, Pulupandan Department of Social Welfare and Development chairperson, said yesterday.
Garcia said 100 residents flocked to the medical mission and around 600 benefited from the feeding program held at the Pulupandan Health Center Sunday.
This program was headed by Pulupandan Mayor Magdaleno Peña, DSWD Pulupandan, and had the support of their medical team, Garcia said.
They also turned over the extra medicines to the 20 barangay captains of Pulupandan for distribution, he said.*LTG
