Citizens charter
launching today

The Bacolod City government will launch the Bacolod City Citizen’s Charter – A Manual of City Government Services, at the Government Center lobby, 9 a.m. today.

The launching will coincide with the month-long celebration of the 109th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary that kicked off Tuesday with free medical services and feeding program for select residents of the city, a City Hall press release said.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia, together with the other city officials and representatives from the national government offices, will lead the launching of the charter that will be highlighted by the unveiling of the city government’s anti-red tape programs.

The various anti-red tape programs identified by the city government are the publication of the services of all departments in the city government, an anti-fixer campaign, public information and assistance desk, feedback mechanism, and online publication of services through the city’s official website, www.bacolodcity.gov.ph, the press release said.

These programs were identified through the core team created by Leonardia by virtue of Executive Order No. 10 that created it to ensure the implementation of the Anti-Red Tape Act in the city government, it added.*
