After two days of gloom
Comes the Sunday morn
The sun rising, shining brightest
It’s Easter in the East!
Sadness and solitude no more
The body and spirit no longer sore
Joy and triumph now reigns
With the Hallelujah Chorus strains
On the cross he gasped and bled
But now He’s risen from the grave
In our hearts we shout and sing
He’s alive, in our heart it’s spring.
