Noy rallies Negrenses
to brace up vs. cheating

BY CARLA GOMEZ

Liberal Party presidential candidate Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III lastnight  thanked Negrenses for their overwhelming show of support but, at the same time, urged them to continue to increase their numbers to overcome any attempts to cheat them of their victory in the May polls.

Aquino, who spoke to a crowd at the Bacolod public plaza estimated by the police and the media at 15,000, said “Our opponents have a lot of money, they have been campaigning for a long time but I know we will win on May 10 because we have you.”

“I may have not swum in a sea of garbage, but I am swimming in a sea of love,” Aquino said of the huge of crowd in an apparent pun on the jingle of Nacionalista Party presidential candidate Manny Villar.moremoremore
