Don’t push your luck,
Magsie tells Iggy
BY CARLA GOMEZ

“Iggy should not push his luck”.

That was the answer yesterday of Pulupandan Mayor Magdaleno “Magsie” Peña  to  the statement Monday of  Rep.  Ignacio “Iggy” Arroyo (Neg. Occ., 5th District)  for him to stop picking  fights against women, and to keep out of  his district.

Arroyo had came to the defence   of his girlfriend, Grace Ibuna, after Peña said a real Negrense would be fielded in the fifth congressional district of Negros Occidental in 2013 and not a “San Juan outcast” in reference to Ibuna.moremoremore

LTFRB set to
confiscate taxi units
BY LISA GAPAC

Taxi operators only have until Friday to recalibrate their taxi meters and on Saturday the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board and the Land Transportation Office will confiscate units without taxi meter-issuing receipts, LTFRB regional director Romulo Bernardes said yesterday.

LTFRB will be strict in their monitoring and evaluation of taxi units with no meter-issuing receipts as they have been given enough time to recalibrate, Bernardes said.

He said they will impound the units and they will not be released until recalibrate the meters. Fines will be imposed on them as well, he added.moremoremore
