BBC showed its dominance as it blew away South Gate Inn (USLS Class 94-95) with a 107-86 win in the recent match-up of the LNA7-USLS Inter-barkada Alumni Basketball Tournament at the West Negros University gym.

Paolo Avecilla scored 18 points and Philip Abong delivered 15 markers as BBC started pulling away in the first two quarters with an 80-54 halftime lead.

 The assault on South Gate’s defense continued in the second half as Justine Tagado caught fire in the fourth quarter and scored 15 points to seal the victory  for BBC.

Big scores from JG Villeran, who finished with 26 points and Chuck Mirano’s  22 points failed to bail South Gate out of the pit where BBC buried them as the team absorbed another setback.

 With the win, BBC now shares the second spot in the team standings with Glitter Productions (Class 2003-04), while South Gate Inn is at the bottom with 4D squad.

Glitter will clash against 4D tonight to secure a seat in the semifinals which will start on August 15.* with a report from Jhun Alacre
