to BREDCO port toll fees

BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

Bacolod Councilor Caesar Distrito yesterday said his committee will recommend to the mayor that collection of toll fees by the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corporation at the reclamation area should be stopped.

Distrito said representatives of the Philippine Reclamation Authority encouraged the city to stop BREDCO from collecting toll fees, during a public hearing by the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Laws, Ordinances and Good Governance Tuesday, since the roads and the port belongs to the city.

PRA Legal Department head Johanna Gargantial, had earlier said BREDCO cannot collect toll fees without authority from the city and the PRA, who are parties to the tripartite agreement.moremoremore
