Collared ‘drug pusher’
eyed in Arnaiz slay, too

A suspected drug pusher and his live-in partner were arrested Monday night by a joint team of the city police and the local Criminal Investigation and Detection Group men in a buy-bust operation in Dumaguete City.
The suspects were identified as Leonesto Moreno Cordova, 31, of Barangay Tinago in Dumaguete, and Rheva Deguma Hoyohoy, 25.
Insp. Romulo LLedo of the Dumaguete police said the suspects were arrested for selling suspected shabu to an undercover police agent at about 5:50 p.m. Monday, at the junction of Sta. Rosa and Perdices streets.
| P-Noy sets Bais City visit The National Food Authority in Dumaguete City will turnover 40 bags of NFA rice to La Consolacion College in Bais City, Negros Oriental, during the visit of President Benigno Aquino III in September, a Philippine Information Agency press release said. The turnover of NFA rice is in line with an agreement between NFA and La Consolacion College, for the rice agency to provide free NFA rice for the school's feeding program. "This is part of our non-government organization partnership," NFA Provincial Manager Dr. Carlos Cortes said. |
