Overseer hangs self
over ‘love problems'
BY ADRIAN NEMES III

A cock farm overseer allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City, yesterday because of “love problems.”

The fatality was identified as John Pillora, 28, of Purok Riverside in Brgy. Bata by Station 3 deputy chief, Insp. Larry Teovesio.

Investigation showed that Pillora's co-workers, whose names were not disclosed, saw him lying on the floor of his room with strangulation marks on his neck and was already dead.

The police seized the rope allegedly used by Pillora in committing suicide. The rope might have snapped when Pillora tied it to the ceiling, causing him to fall into the floor, Teovisio said.

He also said that on Saturday night, Pillora had drinks with a friend who told the police that Pillora was complaining about the status of his relationship with his girlfriend.

Teovisio added that they are investigating the case further to determine if there was foul play, although no disarray was noted in Pillora's room.

It will depend, however, on Pillora's family if they will ask for an autopsy of his body that is now at the Funeraria Lourdes in Bacolod City.*APN
