The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority will soon start training bus drivers here in Western Visayas, a government press release said.
TESDA Iloilo provincial director Lorena Yunque said they have tentatively scheduled the training of 1,732 bus drivers affiliated with the 866 authorized units of buses plying the highways of Western Visayas this month or early March.
She said these bus drivers will be trained after the trainers finish their ongoing training for the National Certification Level 3 in Manila and are already ready for the regional run.


PVO hires 3 new vets
The Provincial Veterinary Office of Negros Occidental hired three more veterinarians to help strategize, implement, and provide technical support to the Negros First livestock development program of the province, Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Renante Decena said yesterday.
Dr. Cherryll Castañeda, 25, earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines, Los Baños in 2008. She was a resident veterinarian of Ole Veterinary Hospital in Cainta, Rizal, before her appointment with the province. 


BIR re-implements
eSales system
The Bureau of Internal Revenue yesterday said it has made the Electronic Sales and Reporting System available to large taxpayers.
With the eSales system in-place, the BIR will be able to effectively monitor the sales generated from Cash Register Machines/ Point of Sales Machines and any machine generating receipts/invoices.
The development was pursuant to Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 92-2010, which lifted the suspension prescribed under RMC No. 36-2005, the BIR said.
