My Valentine Girls
opens in theaters

This Valentine’s season, GMA Films and Regal Entertainment Inc. collaborate to offer one of the most entertaining and inspiring Valentine flicks of this generation – My Valentine Girls starring Valentine Box-Office King Richard Gutierrez, a press release from GMA-7 Network said.

My Valentine Girls, which opens in theaters nationwide today, differs from Richard’s previous movies because the stakes are higher this time for he plays not just one lead role but three different characters in the trilogy.

In the first episode, “Soulmates”, Richard worked with his former television leading lady, Rhian Ramos, and director Dominic Zapata. The end result: a funny, suspenseful story of ghosts and love.

First-time movie director Andoy Ranay brought to life “BBFF”, the episode about friends who are actually lovers in denial. Richard teams up with two actresses who have never been his leading ladies before: French-Filipina Solenn Heussaff and Da King’s daughter Lovi Poe, the press release said.

The unlikely love team of Richard and award-winning comedienne Eugene Domingo unfolds in “Gunaw”. Director Chris Martinez describes the tandem as similar to Barbra Streisand pairing with Robert Redford and Ryan O’Neal, the press release added.*
