Magsaysay Talisay guest today
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Rep. Ma. Milagros “Mitos” Magsaysay (Zambales, 1st District), who will be the guest of honor during 13th Pasidungog Festival in Talisay City this afternoon, yesterday said she is prepared to take legislative action on issues concerning Talisay City and Negros Occidental, too.

Magsaysay, who is on her third term as congresswoman of Zambales, said many of the congressional measures she has pushed for her district are those that also affect concerns in other parts of the country.

She has championed the causes, especially on education, health and agriculture in the House, and is pushing for electrification up to the remotest areas of the country, Magsaysay said.

In her district, she has provided scholarship programs in the tertiary level and skills training, livelihood courses, and free medical and dental services, including services at diagnostic and drug testing centers set up by her congressional office, Magsaysay said.

“The things I fight for to help my district also help the rest of the country,” she said.*CPG
