The Civil Service Commission Regional Office 7, in collaboration with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, is conducting the Penology Officers Examination in Cebu City, March 20.

Invited to take the examinations are incumbent BJMP personnel, Bureau of Corrections and other correctional facilities who have not yet acquired any Second Level Eligibility, or career service professional eligibility, Penology Officer eligibility, 2nd Level Police Officer eligibility and other applicable 2nd level eligibilities.

This is also open to private individuals with no 2nd level eligibility and who are interested to join the jail and penology service, CSC regional director Juditch Chicano said.

The eligibility resulting from this examination is considered appropriate for second level ranks in the jail management and penology, and functionally related services only, except for ranks under the Philippine National Police.

Application forms may be secured at the CSC regional office or in field offices all over the region, or may be downloaded from the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph.

Acceptance of application forms in CSC field offices in the region is on a first come, first served basis up to February 28 only.*JG
