NOHS All Stars keglers
grab upper hand

NOHS All Stars led by the NSL organized 5-Man Team Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Bacolod piloted by Cesar Sumaylo and Iran Pielago the All Stars roll 1,537 pinfalls in the fifth round.

It is now on top of the 11-team pack with a total score of 7,486, while erstwhile leader Bago City Bowlers Association anchored by Joe Ermeo, posted only 7,470.

Nat’l PRISAA reset,
but boycott stands

This year’s 8th National Private Schools Athletics Association games were  reset to Zamboanga City on April 10 to 16, after clamors for reorganization in leadership snowballed several months before the first scheduled date on February 20 to 26 in Manila.

In the Visayas, Foundation University and other private colleges and universities in Negros Oriental started the campaign for a boycott.

A manifesto for reforms in the national PRISAA organization headed by its chairman Manny Angeles of Angeles University Foundation of Pampanga also circulated throughout the country.

USLS belles off to
Regatta beach volley

University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City is sending its two top beach volleyball players to the 8th Paraw Regatta National Women’s Beach Volleyball Tournament on February 19 to 20 at the Joe lll Garden in Arevalo District, Iloilo City.

Roger Banzuela, president of The Beach Volleyball Association of the Philippines, said, that the Bayawan Beach volleyball champion of Sheryl Denila and Kay Aplasca and runner-up team of Patty Orendain and Charmaine Moralde will join the casts of players from other schools.

Two teams are coming from Ateneo de Manila University and one each from Southwestern University and University of San Carlos in Cebu.
