Day of hearts

Love was in the air on Valentine’s Day when everybody, young or old, single or married, observed the Day of Hearts with meaning. The flower business including those at the Bacolod plaza enjoyed brisk income that day.

Imported and homegrown red roses in different sizes were in demand. Some received three long stems of roses with stuffed toys or cards.

In the evening, my balikbayan friends from Canada invited me to dine at the L’Fisher Hotel. The place was full of lovely people enjoying an early dinner. The melodies of Kulay Pecata entertained the crowd with love songs of yesteryears and even today’s tunes. Some guests requested for their favorite love songs and the group obliged.

The Ciocons headed by Delia Ciocon Granada, with daughter Malou, JB and Marides Ciocon Mapa, and Raymond and Maridel Ciocon Dilag were all busy checking on things needed for the Valentine’s Day activity.

What an enjoyable evening for all the lovebirds and their families!
