In Sipalay City, an 8-year-old also suffered a similar fate, with her uncle as the alleged suspect, police said.
Inspector Pabiolo Ortiz, Talisay deputy police chief, yesterday said the victim, identified as Ma. Rose Matriano,17, who had been reported missing for almost two days by her parents. Her body was found, from information provided by Lemuel Mirambel, one the suspects who was invited by the police for questioning, Ortiz said.
The half-naked victim, who had been stripped of her underwear, succumbed to hack wounds in the head and left shoulder, that had caused her death, Ortiz said.
Ortiz also said that based on the autopsy reports of Dr. Gladys Joy Guanzon, Talisay City Health Officer, the victim also had a fractured skull and had been molested.
Talisay police investigations show that the victim, was fetched by her suitor, Mirambel, and Lorejhon Domingo, 22, from the residence of her grandfather, to buy whisky, saying they had sought permission from her father.
Mirambel, 18, according to police investigations, and the victim engaged in sexual acts, when Domingo, who was wearing only his underwear and armed with a bolo, arrived, and pushed him away.
Ortiz said Mirambel claimed it was Domingo who hacked the victim, although he did not witness how she died it because he fled in fear. He however, did not report the incident to the family of the victim.
Domingo could not be found as of press time yesterday, Ortiz said. He said rape with homicide charges will be filed against the detained Mirambel and Domingo.
In Sipalay City, the police filed rape with homicide charges against a certain Anthony Tamayo before the City Prosecutor’s Office of Sipalay, after he was linked to the molestation and killing of his niece on Feb. 10.
