Thanksgiving bash

BUDDAI

Happy New Year to all dear readers of DAILY STAR. May we all have a blessed, peaceful and prosperous New Year!

This New Year, so far, thank God no incident small or big happened in our place – Brgy. 12. This may be because the people have been careful and did not buy giant firecrackers or even the “bazooka,” or anything dangerous.

A thanksgiving and Christmas party at the Sipango Ballroom and Latin Bar was on December 29, Wednesday, to thank its patrons and friends. The party started at exactly 7 p.m. with a prayer, then welcome remarks by the owner, Dr. Evangeline Johnson.

Dinner was served with delicious and fantastic menu prepared by Glo Ynayan, with her balikbayan daughter Rosemarie who is in town for the Christmas holidays.

Later, a special number of modern dance was presented by the students of Zaida and Jerth, followed by the Sepango guys.

Ballroom dancing followed, alternating with the giving of door prizes, then everybody was in line-dancing with the music ranging from cha-cha, rhumba, sway to tango. Everybody enjoyed the line-dancing. Then it was back again to ballroom dancing and before we knew, it was past 2 a.m., but no one wanted to go home.

Remember: If you are true to God, you won’t be false to others. Keep your eyes on the Lord; He never takes His eyes off you.*
