Two collared for threats,
loose guns possession

Several guns were seized from a carwash business owner and his companion when they were apprehended by operatives of Police Station 4 in a follow up operation at B.S. Aquino Drive in Bacolod City yesterday.

Station 4 deputy chief, Insp. Charles Gever, identified those arrested as carwash business owner Jansen Clavecillas, 30, of Homesite Subdivision and his companion, Nikko Parcon, 30, of B.S. Aquino Drive, both in Bacolod City.

A snubnose .22 caliber magnum revolver loaded with four ammunition and an empty shell for the same gun were recovered from Clavecillas, while a .45 pistol with serial number 2100427 with a magazine loaded with three live ammunition were confiscated from Parcon, police records showed.

Gever said the two were apprehended on complaint of Eduardo Carimsa, 19, of Burgos-Lopez Jaena streets, Bacolod.

Carisma told the police that he was at Narra Extension in Brgy. Villamonte at about 12:45 a.m. when the two threatened him and fired at him four times, but missed.

Gever said threats, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition are being readied against Clavecillas and Parcon, who refused to give statements to the media.*APN.

Robbers hit
residence, store

Robbers entered a residence in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City yesterday and took several items, while thieves stole canned goods from a store in Brgy.3, in the city.

Kenneth Javier, 30, of Brgy. Estefania told the police that he discovered the robbery at his residence at about 6 a.m. yesterday

Among the items stolen, Javier said, were four cellular phones valued at P10,000, a DVD player valued at P6,000, an electric flat iron valued at P350, and a bracelet and four necklaces of undetermined market value.

The robbers also took children’s pants valued at P1,500, and a children’s bag of undetermined content, he added.

Investigation conducted by operatives of Police Station 4 showed that the robbers removed six jalousie slats from the window of one of the rooms.

Helen Toriano, 51, of Bat-os Calamba in Brgy. 3 also reported that she discovered that her store had been ransacked at about 5 a.m. Thursday.

Toriano said among the items stolen were 10 cans of sardines, fie cans of beef loaf, and her ATM card.*APN

Tipsters seized,
2 persons nabbed

A sack containing “Speed” tispters for jai-alai were recovered by the police, at about 6 a.m. yesterday, in Brgy. 4, Moises Padilla town, Negros Occidental.

Moises Padilla police chief, Insp. Albert Sy, said they were conducting a stake out operation against illegal gambling in the barangay when they noticed two men on a red Honda TMX motorcycle without a plate number carrying a sack with undetermined content.

When they were about to approach the men, Sy said they alighted from the motorcycle, and fled to the nearby rice fields, leaving the vehicle and the sack behind. When they opened the sack, they found that it contained 4,096 tipsters with the codename “Speed”.

Sy also said that further investigation enabled them to identify the driver of the motorcycle as alias “Yong-Yong” Abadilla, 25, of Barangay 4, Poblacion, Moises Padilla.

Sy also reported the arrest of Reneboy Tendencia, 19, of Sitio Santos-Santos, in Moises Padilla at about 3:40 a.m. yesterday, for allegedly distributing tipsters with the codename “Speed” at Bangga Maldo, Barangay Guinpana-an, in the town.

He said two hundred tipsters with the codename “Speed”, five tally sheets, a cellular phone and P314 in bet money were recovered from Tendencia.*APN
