The Negros Occidental High School Inter-Class Alumni Fellowship Bowling Tournament resumes at 5 p.m. today at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Brgy. Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City.

In the lead in the 24-team pack is Class ’89 headed by Rommel Niepes, with a three games collection of 1,517 pinfalls, followed by Class ’72 headed by Elvis Alagao with 1,479.

Next is Class ’73 anchored by Felipe Boy Romero Jr. with 1,463 balls, and Class ’71 of Leah Uy with 1,421.

The other competing squads and their scores are: Batch  ’68, 1,413; Class ’66, 1,405; Class ’70, 1,405; Class ’59, 1,408; Class ’67, 1,403;  Class ’82, 1,396;  Class ’74, 1,381; Class ’85, 1,380; Class ’80, 1,352; Class ’90, 1,350; Class ’84, 1,323; Class ’58, 1,321; Class ’86, 1,301; Class ’65, 1,262; Class ’92, 1,256; Class ’95, 1,234; Class ’87, 1,194; Class ’88, 1,194; Class ’91, 1,186, and  Class ’75, 1,114.

Class ’89 holds the highest triple in the team competition with 1,517, while Class ’72 registered the highest single mark with 539.

Batch ’70 bet Joe De Leon established the individual highest single in the opening games with his 143 pinfalls.

Bacolod City National High School Inter-Class Alumni Bowlfest 2011 will start tomorrow at the same venue.

St. Joseph High School-La Salle tournament coordinator, Boy Wingpo, said their Inter-class Alumni Bowling Tournament will open Feb.12 at the Lopue’s East Bowling Centre in Bacolod City.*HLG
