Fire hit a building at about 8:55 last night at the corner of 17th and Lacson streets, in Bacolod City, causing damage estimated at P300,000.
Fire marshal C/Insp. Pamela Rojane Candido of the Bacolod City Bureau of Fire Protection said the blaze originated at the second floor of the building owned by Rowella Aguirre, and spread to the areas on the ground level rented by the Jesber Enterprises, the Edgardo Renemo Fruit Stand, Wallside Eatery, and Wow Lechon Manok.
The fire was put out at about 9:10 p.m. but its cause was still being determined as of 10:47 last night, the BFP said.*
