Class ’73 paces NOHS bowlfest

Registering a score of 2,946 pinfalls, Class ’73 snatched the leadership in 2011 Negros Occidental High School Inter-Class Alumni Fellowship Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

After two rounds of competition, the Class ’73 bowlers led by Grace Garcia Ong are now on top of the overall standing from the No.3 position in the curtain raiser.

Batch ’82, anchored by Cesar Sumaylo, climbed up from ninth spot to second with 2,929 followed by opening day leader Class ’89 with 2,915.

Class ’66 collected 2,890; Class ’85, 2,866; Class ’72, 2,819; Class ’71, 2,768; Class ’59, 2,761; Class ’67, 2,753; Class ’74, 2,744; Class ’84, 2,704; Class ’90, 2,696; Class ’65, 2,653; Class ’Class ’80, 2,639; Class ’58, 2,603; Class ’86, 2,594;  Class ’95, 2,544; Class ’92, 2,453; Class ’88, 2,413; Class ’87, 2,385; Class ’91, 2,347; Mavericks ’67, 1,388, and Class ’81, 1,191.

The last two teams have not played their second game assignment, yet.

In the individual contest, George Acot of Class ‘56/57 Combined is the record holder in highest pinning with 91, while Nita Biasca of Class ’58 in the women’s category with 90.

Class ’66 bet Rod Garcia and Joe De Leon established the highest triple and single with 362 and 143 in the men’s division, as Ronella Cordero posted the women’s highest single and triple with 128 and 320, respectively.

Batch ’85 and ’82 registered the team’s highest single and triple with 547 and 1,533.
