San Miguel vs. Talk ‘N Text
Game One in Victorias today
All basketball roads lead to Victorias City today as San Miguel Beer and Talk ‘N Text clash in Game One of their 2010-11 PBA Philippine Cup best-of-seven titular showdown at the Victorias City Sports and Amusement Center.
The game will start at 6 p.m., with the Negrenses getting a rare treat of high-caliber basketball action from the top two teams in the PBA today.
With both squads aiming for a head start in the series, the opening salvo is expected to showcase the strength and power of the Beermen and the Texters which carried them to the finals.
| Coaches get vital input Learning it first hand from the experts, more than a hundred basketball coaches from different ballclubs and local government units in Negros Occidental attended the first-ever Jr. NBA Coaches Clinic in Bacolod City yesterday at the St. John’s Institute Activity Center. US-based Jr. NBA coach Frank Lopez shared his knowledge, experience and philosophy with the coaches, while NBA Director of Basketball Operations Jama Mahlalela and Alaska coaching staff led by Jojo Lastimosa assisted in running the coaches’ clinic. The group tapped the SJI high school varsity squad as the demo team which executed the drills and moves that are vital in developing a competitive and winning squad. |
