The Bacolod City Cooperative and Livelihood Development Office recently conducted an Entrepreneurial Development Section Skills Training Program, a press release from the city said.
Participants from six communities in Bacolod City were taught how to make soap.
The beneficiaries include Purok Violeta, Brgy. Taculing; Purok Hervias III, Brgy. Villamonte; Purok Maninihon, Brgy. Phanocoy; PH-CS5 Child survival program of Purok Abkasa, Brgy. Mandalagan; Purok San Antonio, Brgy. Tangub and Brgy. Vista Alegre, the press release said.
Project development officer II Michael Vincent Mabaquiao said the program aims to provide the community a source of income. The CCLDO provides all the materials in soapmaking and the communities will make and sell these.
Profits will be used to make new products again, the press release said.
Mabaquiao said that their training program is a continuous monthly activity and includes a monitoring scheme.*
