LPG rates cut by P1/kg

Members of the LPG Marketers Association cut prices of liquefied petroleum gas by P1 per kilo or P11 per 11-kg tank effective yesterday.

The price of an 11-kilogram LPG tank is now sold at P676 from P687 per tank.

Rep. Arnel Ty, president of LPGMA, said they reduced prices due to the decline in the international contract price of LPG.

LPG contract price in July went down by about $ 61 per metric ton from the previous month.

Ty said there is a strong possibility of another LPG price rollback by next week.

Petron Corp., Total and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. last week reduced their LPG prices by P2 per kilo.

LPGMA members include Omni Gas, Pinnacle Gas, Island Gas, Cat Gas and Nation Gas.*PNA
