The Lopue’s Table Tennis Association will hold the Lopue’s Age-Group Invitational Table Tennis Tournament on July 30 to 31 at the Loptta Table Tennis Center, Lopue’s San Sebastian Annex Building in Bacolod City.
The event is part of LOPTTA’s goal to promote table tennis in Negros Occidental, to gather top paddlers in the province and discover future talents in this sport.
Among the age-groups to be contested in the boys and girls divisions are the 8-and under, 10-and under and 12-and under.
For events with more than 12 players, the elimination rounds will be played in a round-robin format while the semi–finals and the championship will be a single knock-out system.
For events with 12 players or less, the elimination rounds will also be played in a round-robin format. The top two players after the elimination will proceed to the semis, wherein they will play in a double–elimination system.
In the championship, the same double–elimination system will be used.
The championships matches will be conducted in accordance with the current Laws of the International Table Tennis Federation and the rules set by the Organizing Committee.
Winners of the tournament will receive P500 plus medal for the champion, P300 plus medal for the 1st runner-up, P200 plus medal for the 2nd runner-up and P100 plus medal for the 3rd runner-up. Registration is free.*PNA
