Twenty out-of-school college level students of Don Salvador Benedicto town successfully finished a career preparation training program from June 27 to July 14 for Business Process Outsourcing jobs, a government press release said.
Participants received certificates of recognition, which they can use in applying for jobs as call center agents, the press release said.
The training was conducted by Mary Tolentino of Client First, a leading name in recruitment with global clients like Teleperformance, Stream Global, Accenture and Aegis People Support.
This project replicates the “study now, pay later” program of the national government but it was funded by the DSB municipal government, the press release said.
The students will pay back their training fees as soon as they get a job, it added.
DSB Mayor Lawrence Dela Cruz said he expects more participants in the next training program, which is already being planned.*
